playing for change: ‘stand by me’

We have all heard that this famous tune – and most of us are aware of the importance of being part of a group, social network and having close friendships. However, how often in your busy life have you caught yourself saying: “I will call my [the bracket is for you to fill in] when [switch out the words for the many activities and deadlines in your life].” And often this call never happens or if, then much less frequent than is good for us.

For those of us that need a good business reason to connect, know this: according to Gallup, you are 7 times as likely to be engaged  if you have a ‘best friend’ at work. The reality: only 30% of us do…what does your social life at work look like? If you have one, please comment, share with us, would love to hear from you and inspire others!
